The Met Gala described in one word — ICONIC… if you do it right, that is! This years theme was Camp, and not the “let’s pitch a tent and make s’mores” kind. The inspiration comes from the 1974 essay “Camp: Notes on Fashion” by Susan Sontag; so basically LOTS of exaggeration.
“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking!”
Josephine takes the crown for Floral Queen — that dress was made for her. Jourdan is a mega babe! Her dress is a beautiful design with realistic petals. Of course I had to include the legendary, Queen of Vogue, Anna Wintour; such a classy and flattering dress for her age.
The gorgeous Ella Balinska made her first Met Gala debut and I’m speechless! Turning heads in a one of a kind Tory Burch, I was very happy to see her walking the carpet. Stunning smile on the left, and a killer smize on the right — Ella is a force to be reckoned with. Proud of you babe!
Simple Yet Breathtaking
I adore these stunning women! Although, their dress didn’t relate to the theme whatsoever, they look incredible. Rosie, Taylor and Hailey look stunning in pink.
Men of the Met Gala
These guys certainly got the Camp memo! They went all out, on theme and were not afraid to stand out. The crystals and embellishments on these gentlemen are perfection.
My favorite duos of the night! Their matching outfits compliment one another, and I’m a huge fan of color coordination.
Stay Fabulous, Sarah xx
